Draft Core Strategy - Yeovil Traffic Modelling Report February 2011

South Somerset District Council identified the need for an Urban Extension to Yeovil in the Draft Core Strategy (incorporating Preferred Options) published in October 2010. At the time of Consultation (8 October 2010 to 3 December 2010) on the Draft Core Strategy important evidence concerning the possible transport impacts of the potential sites for the urban extension was not available.

The Yeovil Traffic Modelling Report: Review of Yeovil Eco-Urban Extension has now been published and those who made comments on the transport aspects of the proposed urban extension during the Draft Core Strategy Consultation now have the opportunity to make further response in relation to transport issues raised by the report.

The responses to the Draft Core Strategy - Yeovil Traffic Modelling Report February 2011, were considered by the Local Development Framework Project Management Board (PMB), Area Committees and the Council’s District Executive Committee between the close of the consultation and March 2012. The recommendations of the District Executive to amend the Core Strategy where considered appropriate in the light of representations received, further emerging evidence base, and government policy, were reported to Full Council on 23rd April 2012.

The Full Council Report can be viewed on the South Somerset District Council website. Please select Appendix D of the Agenda for 23rd April 2012.
