LATE REPRESENTATION It has come to my notice that yet again another piece of precious land - agricultural this time - to be given up for 'boxes'. Surely we need to keep this land to farm or grow produce - has world weather been taken into consideration - look at wheat prices this year!! We need to grow our 'own' produce and not import so much - at huge expense - always assuming produce is always going to be there to import! I absolutely disagree with this plan - houses should be built on land

LATE REPRESENTATION I wish to object to the following in the above Local Plan. Loss of our Heritage. This is the setting and landscape immortalized by T S Eliot and where William Dampier grew up. I object most heartily to any development which is likely to impact on this environment and this heritage. East Coker is a beautiful setting, with night skies, bright stars and a peaceful, tranquil village. It should not be spoilt in any way at all.

LATE REPRESENTATION I understand new houses are to be built in Ilminster, I am not against it as we all have to have to live somewhere. My husband and I moved about 18 months ago to be near shops and release some money to help out the pension. We wanted another bungalow as we are both elderly and not in the best of health, but all we could find were large and expensive or very, very small. When the new houses are built how nice to have some bungalows about £200,000 with 2 beds of good size, bu

LATE REPRESENTATION Wyke Farms are significant landowners in the area. Attached to this email is the SSDC plan showing preferred options 1, 2 and 3. We have marked in red the land owned by Wyke Farms and wish to express to you their willingness for any of their land to come forward for development and that if it does, they will release the land for development. Significantly we would ask you to take account of the following: * The landowner is willing to release the land for development. * A

LATE REPRESENTATION I write with strong objection to the proposals within the submission Local Plan for South Somerset for development of an 'urban extension' within the civil parish of East Coker. I am gravely concerned that the very significant heritage assets in the area of East Coker, their setting ad the appreciation of them will be irreparably and detrimentally harmed by the proposals. The whole landscape of East Coker is a unique asset of great national and international heritage import

LATE REPRESENTATION Cuttifords Door & District Residents Association attach a copy of their written representations concerning possible amendment to the Local Plan and would be grateful if you would allow this submission which was delayed because of the absence on leave of the Area Development Manager (West) and his reply to our key questions to him which were received on 13 August 2012. Dr Beaven has sent us a copy of his email to you dated August 97th and, whilst welcoming his robust respons

LATE REPRESENTATION I support the SSDC's decision to recommend that Ilminster grows south-eastwards. This would balance the housing around the town centre out. If housing were to expand south westwards to Herne Hill residents would be 20-30 minutes walk from the town centre (longer if small children). Expanding south eastwards would result in only a 10 minute walk to the town centre. The farmland at the base of Herne Hill is especially fertile and its loss to housing has negative implications

LATE REPRESENTATION I object to the following in the local plan, resulting from the Yeovil urban extension, on the following issues. Road Network The location of the development will encourage car usage as the only way to Yeivil will be Hendford Hill or Forest Hill, only the fittest will be able to cycle up these hills. I suggest that perhaps the councillors making these important decisions, actually use these routes at peak times to see how they get totally congested at peak times. The road

LATE REPRESENTATION I wish to support the SSDC's decision to recommend that Ilminster grows south-eastwards. I walk the footpaths between Canal Way and Herne Hill and am upset that they may be lost or moved to accommodate housing. The 'stop line' cutting is a treasure and access through leafy walkways is a delight. This plan has had full consultation and I thought was agreed?! Why a few now decide they don't want their views spoilt by housing development; so this should be moved to the othe

LATE REPRESENTATION The reasons for my objection is due to the following reasons: 1. The land planned to be built on is important Grade A agricultural land and as such will be a great waste of this very useful land for local businesses to use for crop growing etc as this type of land is only reducing in availability as time goes on. Many new businesses have started up recently in this line of work as the locals now seek out more than ever to eat locally produced items and also to support the l
